I loved being involved in the June 2019 Critique Camp for Romance Writers. It was awesome to have a deadline, near-weekly chats with other romance authors, and feedback from so many people at once. We were all women, so it felt like an awesome professional sisterhood among authors. I would definitely recommend joining Critique Camp and hope to do another session myself.
After not writing regularly for a long time and having no Critique Partner [CP], critique camp gave me the confidence to continue forward with my Work In Progress [WIP]. The camp was presented in a fun environment with committed members. Will I really have my story idea and outline nailed before NaNoWriMo?
You betcha! If you stick with the plan and dedicate the entire week to the process, you can do it! It’s meant to be accelerated to force you to make decisions quickly and then move forward. I’ve been in tons of courses where i have an entire month or more to decide the characters, the murder, the plot and more and you know what….I end up in anlysis paralysis and simply never finish nailing it down. While giving story ideas time to marinate and grow is great, there is something to be said for just getting it down and forcing it out. Do you want to write your book and get published or just talk about it forever.
Is this only for unpublished, new authors?
Not at all! Both unpublished and published authors are both welcome.
Is this only for indie authors?
Not at all! Trad, indie, hybrid + undecided authors are all welcome.
When will you be running another session of the Cozy Accelerator again
We have no idea – this is a beta run for us. If all goes well, we envision running this every year in October to help writers prep for NaNoWriMo but who knows what will happen a year from now so make sure to join this year’s class!

Can I submit story ideas for romance for review?
Sure – you can change your mind and submit any story idea for feedback or ask us anything but the focus of the course will be solely on cozy mysteries – contemporary, historical, paranormal, futuristic….basically any cozy mystery sub-genre
What if I miss the feedback deadline?
No biggie – we’re here for you the entire month of October + November to help support you during NaNoWriMo. Simply post your story idea + your questions whenever you’re ready and we’ll make sure to answer you!
Can I get a refund if I’m unhappy or unable to submit a story idea?
OMG – why would you be unhappy? Sometimes people are happier just for knowing us! And you’ll get to become one of our Cozy Author Accelerator besties. However, due to the intensive nature of this program and the limited slots available, we are unable to offer refunds or credits for future courses for any reason. Thanks for understanding. We’re committed to you for the next 2 months and we need to know that you’re not only committed to the Cozy Author Accelerator but to your fellow students who are counting on you and your valuable peer feedback.
